I first started on Alter Aeon back in 1995, and I've been playing it and working on it ever since. The game and world have come a long way, and it's always cool to see new things being added.
It's a MUD, so if you're into purely graphical games you might not like it. There are downloads that have graphical maps and health/status bars, which give it a very crude 'Diablo II' feel, but it's got a long way to go.
