Demo:
In a game, it's a recording of a game. Most games allow you to record your game to view later (usually from first or third person view). It can also be an evaluation version of a game.
DOT:
An acronym for "damage over time". This is referring to damage dealt to players or computer controlled characters in rpg games. Damage over time is a type of damage that occurs at set intervals over a limited period of time such as poisonous effects.
DSL:
Short for "Digital Subscriber Line." A high-speed Internet-access connection that works over telephone networks
