Improbable Island is a text-based MMORPG based around the concept of a machine that generates Improbability, or Improbable Matter, which is neither particle nor wave. Since the machine has gone crazy and started to generate Improbability in highly improbable ways, it must be stopped before it turns the world into a lemon. That's where you come in!

Since conventional warfare tactics are useless against abstract concepts such as drugs, terrorism or Improbability, government agencies devised new ways of dealing with the problem. Accordingly, you are kidnapped from your home and forced to participate in the Improbable Island Reality TV show! Your prize for destroying the Improbability Drive and ending the War On Improbability will be your freedom to return home!

Improbable Island was born out of a desire for a free browser-based MMORPG with a sense of humour. There are scads of browser-based MMORPG's out there on the Internet, but most take themselves terribly seriously. Improbable Island, on the other hand, is thoroughly ridiculous and proud of it.
