Naerlan, oh my city of Naerlan. If only the mortals had known... Even the efforts of the heroes of Tharel were ineffectual at stopping the rolling tide once it had begun to creep forward. Who could have known the immense power the rod would release on the land?The clans battled and fought for many centuries over the three pieces of the rod but no one succeeded in uniting the sections. After the followers of Ytrewtsu triumphed over the minions of Toroid and Maeve, Ytrewtsu completed the Unification bringing destruction upon the city I call home. The destruction of Naerlan was complete and the ruins of the city still smolder. Toroid arrived too late to save the innocent victims from slaughter but engaged Ytrewtsu in a duel finally managing to wrest the rod from his grasp. The days after the Unification have been bleak. Many have returned to Naerlan to find their homes destroyed and loved ones sent on to the Abyss. Whilst I attempt to aid those in need, I cannot help but wonder.."When will such destruction be set upon Naerlan again?"
